3' x 8' 2015 This cape was made from over 250 used teabags collected by Appleton, WI community members. The teabags were sewn together and hand printed with a hand carved linoleum-block. The bodice of the cape is made from chicken wire and hand painted used cone coffee filters. This cape won a 2016 Recognition award at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition's show Recycle.
This mask is a component of my Live Drawing, The Becoming. Each feather was individually detailed using black thread and a sewing machine. This mask can be worn and seen through.
